On March 31st, Go Pro announced the addition of several new accessories as well as a software update. The additions include two new housings, a flexible mount, and a dual camera system for the GoPro Hero 3 & 3+ models. I have always loved GoPros and their ability to capture great video in so many different environments whether it be underwater, mountain biking, or hiking. They are fun little cameras to carry around and use for life’s moments. I also like how GoPro is ALWAYS innovating and coming out with advancements.
1) The Gooseneck (MSRP: $19.99) is a bendable mount that allows users the ability to get some wild camera angles. It looks pretty awesome! Kinda reminds me of a Joby tripod. The Gooseneck is only 8″ long but can be extended by using multiple units. You will also need some type of quick release base to hold it on (Suction Cup, Jaws: Flex Clamp, etc.) You can also use it handheld. Would be perfect to get some super unique perspectives in all kinds of scenarios. Check out some of the product and sample images below.
2) The GoPro Blackout Housing (MSRP: $49.99) is a sleek new housing unit for your GoPro Hero 3 or 3+. The matte black gives a very minimal visual profile to stay under the radar. The housing also includes LCD concealment stickers which aid in reducing glare from the LCD window. The housing is also waterproof up to 40M which is a lot more than most waterproof cameras. Definitely a must have for peeps exploring underwater!
3) The GoPro Frame (MSRP: $39.99) now offers the best way to mount your GoPro Hero 3 or 3+. Made form lightweight aluminum, The Frame is one of the lightest and smallest frames available to mount your GoPro. The open design of this unit also allows you to capture great audio and get easy access to camera ports. The unit includes an integrated latch for easy removal as well as a protective lens. Check out some of the product and sample images below.
4) The GoPro Dual HERO System (MSRP: $199.99) gives users the ability to capture photos and videos simultaneously that can ultimately be used for 3D footage. Some highlights of this awesome unit includse: dual housing for the HERO system that is waterproof up to 60 meters, integrated mini USB ports, 3D anaglyph glasses for viewing your 3D video, and more. Head over to GoPro for more details! Here are a few product images below.
