About
My name is Amanda and this is my THIRD blog! YIKES!! I think I’ve lost my mind!
I am a homeschooling mom of four kids, ages 12 to 4.5. We live on a farm in rural SC, and my kids are fifth generation to live in our home (my husband’s family). I picked up photography as a hobby after my father passed away March, 2009. My mother (who passed away in 1993) was an avid amateur photographer and it was always something I thought I’d like to try, but kept putting off. Realizing life is short, I took the plunge and have loved every minute of it.
I created Photography Haven for very much the same reason I started Beautiful Blog Designs, to be a resource to other people. I kept bookmarking neat tutorials or places for free actions, so I decided to put them all in one place and so Photography Haven was born. I hope other photography enthusiasts find it useful and if you find things that can or should be shared here, please leave me a comment.
My personal blog, Moving Forward, is a place for me to share my 365 pictures and other daily happenings. Please feel free to pop in and see me there too.

Love this blog and posted a link on the Clickin’ Moms forum! Signed up for two workshop at Everyday Elements and am looking forward to learning more from this site!
Great blog. I live in rural Nova Scotia, two kids, beginning home schooling in Sept, love to write and trying to start/grow an interior decorating business. It’s nice to know that I’m not the only one out there tackling all of this.
